Job Description

Our team is conducting research regarding the evaluation of Nature-based solutions (NbS) to enhance and sustain water quality conditions in Chiang Rai province. Our goal is to establish the long-term relationship with local communities where the project is implemented and evaluate their responses to the benefits of the installed NbS setups. We are seeking one project coordinator with strong interest in NbS, water quality monitoring and improvement, science communication, and community engagement.

Scope of work

Project Coordination:

  • Provide and maintain strategic engagement, networking and collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Under the supervision of the principal investigator, ensure that project activities are implemented in the desired quality, on time, and according to the planned indicators
  • Coordinate workshops and trainings with relevant project partners and participants as per project implementation plan
  • Ensure the project monitoring and reporting timeline is adhered to

Project Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting

  • Ensure the implementation of NbS setups in accordance with the project design and donor’s requirement
  • Plan, organize and coordinate field visit to implement, monitor and report the NbS setup conditions
  • Prepare and coordinate the drafting of all required deliverables for the inspection and evaluation by the project’s principal investigator in a timely manner

Personnel Coordination and Financial Management

  • Ensure all project team members understand and complete their assigned tasks in a timely manner
  • Ensure the utilization and management of project funds are in compliance with the donor’s policy and agreement with other partners
  • Prepare budget request plan and procurement plan according to project implementation and donor requirement
  • Ensure all expenditures are transparent and must be made in accordance with the financial guideline
  • Prepare financial report in the provided AIT’s format as internal financial policy or donor requirement
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders
  • Organize and participate in project-related meetings, workshops, and events.

Qualification

  • PhD student in 3rd academic year or later of the Water Engineering and Management program
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills
  • Experience with project management, personnel coordination, and financial management

Good organizational and time management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
