Job Description

The student assistant will work as a project assistant of the International Affairs Unit of the Office of International and Public Affairs of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), which is a leading international postgraduate institution offering engineering, environment and management education in English. 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Perform administrative and financial management for the training, project and consultancies related to KPCIP
  • Maintain filing system for projects
  • Organizing seminars, conferences, trainings and workshops
  • Communicate and coordination with student and classroom observation
  • Assist KPCIP students with administrative matters
  • Maintain student files and make a database of student
  • Organize student orientation, welcome and farewell
  • Prepare minutes, reports, analysis and presentations for KPCIP

Other relevant assignments as assigned by IA-OIPA Director

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, international relations, business administration, public relations, social sciences, management and relevant subjects with at least 1 year of progressive experience in coordinating with various organizations, institutions as well as individuals of different backgrounds
  • Good understanding of the international higher education arena, universities, international organizations, multilateral development and funding agencies, UN agencies and foundations
  • Communication: Excellent English proficiency with advanced English writing skills.  Speaks and writes clearly and effectively
  • Demonstrates openness in sharing information and keeping people informed
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong working relationships as a team player in a multicultural environment
  • Strong research skills and attention to details
  • Results focused and creative in solving problems
  • High level of service orientation
