Job Description

Terms of Reference (ToR) for Masters Student Assistant/Associate at AIT Extension

 

AIT Extension (AITE), the executive education and professional services arm of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), is seeking a Master’s level Student Assistant/Associate to support one of its ongoing professional development projects. Qualified candidates with relevant academic backgrounds are invited to apply.

 

Role Overview

 

The Student Assistant/Associate will provide essential support in the implementation of professional training programs. The selected candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Program Director as well as the course coordinator and contribute to the smooth execution of all program activities.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work under the guidance of the Program Director & course coordinator to ensure effective delivery of the training program.
  • Assist daily training related actives during the classroom session as well as during the study visits sites.
  • Assist training coordinator throughout the training period related to the training needs of the participants including the logistic support.
  • Assist in the implementation of tasks related to professional development activities.
  • Compile and distribute course materials (both digital and printed) prepared by resource persons.
  • Assist course coordinator in preparing the comprehensive training completion report at the end of the program, as directed by the Program Director.
  • Support the administration of course evaluations and maintain accurate daily attendance records.
  • Guide participants in adhering to program norms and schedules.
  • Offer assistance to the Program Coordinator with tasks relevant to project implementation.

Qualification

  • Currently enrolled in at least the second term of a Master’s program, or a Master’s degree holder.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment, with openness to learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English (the medium of instruction for the program).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sensitivity to cultural and religious diversity.
  • Background in Finance or Engineering, combined with teaching experience, will be considered an advantage.
